The aim of the collaboration in NB peda.net

The project aims at enhancing the use of internet as a learning collaboration and communication environment. The Institute for Educational Research (on University of Jyväskylä, Finland) provides the partners a user-friendly publishing tool so called Peda.net Web Magazine. The use of the Peda.net Web Magazine does not demand any specific skills of HTML-language or FTP. The solution is user friendly and easy to adapt. The essential factor in this project is the sharing of the same web-based tool throughout the partnership; only the language versions differ. This facilitates tutoring, sharing experience and evaluating in cross-national teams.

The partner institutes collect the information on the experiences and examples of good practices concerning the innovative use of the Web Magazine in various subjects. Special focus will be on promoting the use web-based tools in social sciences and environmental sciences, Nordic languages and cultural heritage. In addition, the partners evaluate and analyse the information in order to develop meaningful pedagogical methods.

If the project is funded for the 2nd project year then earlier named outcomes will be disseminated to other schools and partner countries.
